We have an exciting opportunity for a Reliability Engineer to join the Maintenance Design and Assurance Team and help Yorkshire Water deliver the best service to our customers. Could this be you?

Where you fit in

As our Reliability Engineer you will:

  • Develop, implement and optimise asset‑specific maintenance strategies for Above Ground, Below Ground and Nature Based Solution assets, in line with Principal Engineering requirements
  • Monitor and report on the effectiveness of the preventive maintenance programme across these asset categories
  • Compile and maintain asset criticality and equipment risk registers
  • Lead reviews of asset maintenance performance and reliability data to identify critical risks and trigger improvements
  • Conduct root cause analysis (RCA) for short, medium and long‑term issue resolution
  • Develop and maintain key reliability improvement processes across YW electrical assets – including RCM, criticality analysis, RCFA and resolution of high‑impact equipment
  • Document improvements and savings, highlighting risk to the business

What skills & qualifications you will need

  • Degree in a relevant engineering discipline
  • Significant knowledge and application of reliability improvement techniques and practices
  • Broad experience with equipment maintenance
  • Extensive experience using CMMS (e.g. SAP S4) to develop reliability reports and analyse data
  • Previous experience supporting and embedding change

You will also benefit from having

  • Excellent communication skills across multiple levels and departments
  • Proficiency in Excel
  • Water industry and nature‑based solution experience
