Senior Mechanical Engineer | Bristol (Hybrid)

We're partnering with a global engineering leader in the semiconductor manufacturing equipment sector to find a Senior Mechanical Engineer to take a key technical role in the design and delivery of complex, high-performance systems used in advanced manufacturing environments.

This is a senior-level, hands-on design role where you'll take ownership of mechanical engineering delivery across systems and subsystems, while also helping shape best practice across the wider engineering function.

You’ll be responsible for:

  • Leading technical delivery of mechanical engineering across complex projects and subsystems
  • Driving best practice mechanical design (DfX: DFM, DFA, maintainability, etc.)
  • Supporting and guiding engineering work packages across cross-functional teams
  • Ensuring designs meet requirements, standards, compliance, and safety expectations by design
  • Acting as a technical role model, supporting junior engineers and improving consistency/quality
  • Contributing to delivery through milestones into production and volume manufacturing

What we're looking for:

  • Degree in Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent experience)
  • Strong background in mechanical design / product development
  • Advanced 3D & 2D CAD skills (SolidWorks, Creo, NX, etc.)
  • Strong understanding of DfX principles and engineering best practice
  • Experience working in regulated / high-integrity engineering environments (semiconductor, aerospace, automotive, etc. desirable)
  • Ability to translate requirements into robust, production-ready engineering solutions

Why join:

  • Work on cutting-edge semiconductor equipment used globally
  • Senior technical ownership with real influence on design decisions
  • Strong culture of engineering excellence, trust, and accountability
  • Excellent career progression and technical development opportunities
  • Hybrid working from Bristol

Salary: Up to £53,000
