Mobile Plant Engineer
Location: Green Power Plant Hire, Coppice Farm, Coppice Lane, Middleton, B78 2BU (with travel to client sites nationwide)Salary: Competitive, based on experience

We are now seeking a skilled and flexible Mobile Plant Engineer to join our team, maintaining and repairing plant machinery on-site to ensure minimal downtime for our clients.
Key Responsibilities
As a Mobile Plant Engineer, you will:
- Travel to client sites to inspect, diagnose, and repair faults on a range of plant machinery, including excavators, telehandlers, dumpers, and more.
- Perform preventative maintenance and servicing to ensure equipment operates efficiently and safely.
- Diagnose and repair mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical faults in a timely manner.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company standards during all on-site repairs.
- Maintain accurate records of all work completed, including job sheets and parts used.
- Provide professional and courteous service to clients, ensuring excellent communication throughout the repair process.
- Keep the service vehicle stocked and organized with tools and spare parts.
Requirements
We are looking for candidates who meet the following criteria:
- Qualifications: NVQ Level 2 in Plant Maintenance or equivalent.
- Experience:
- Proven experience in plant maintenance and repair, preferably within the plant hire or construction industries.
- Knowledge of a variety of plant machinery and their systems.
- Skills:
- Strong diagnostic and problem-solving abilities for mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Ability to work independently while maintaining high-quality standards.
- Licences:
- A clean, valid UK driving licence is essential.
- Personal Attributes:
- Customer-focused with excellent communication skills.
- Proactive and safety-conscious approach to all tasks.
