Job Description:

We are seeking a professional, customer-focused Receptionist to join a well-established law firm based in Birmingham. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with front-of-house or administrative experience looking to build a career within a professional services environment.

The Role

As the first point of contact, you will play a key role in delivering a high-quality front-of-house experience. Based on reception, you will ensure all clients and visitors receive a warm, professional welcome while supporting the wider team with administrative duties.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Handling incoming calls and directing enquiries efficiently
  • Managing meeting room bookings (internal and external)
  • Preparing and resetting meeting rooms
  • Coordinating travel requests including taxis and train tickets
  • Supporting the facilities team when required
  • Assisting with administrative tasks such as document preparation, conflict checks, and matter opening
  • Compiling electronic bundles for legal use
  • General office duties including scanning, copying, and filing

About You

  • Highly organised, personable, and thrives in a fast-paced environment
  • Previous experience in a receptionist or administrative role (essential)
  • Ideally, experience within a professional services environment
  • Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel
  • Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to high-quality service
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
  • The ability to prioritise workload and meet deadlines
  • A proactive, flexible, and team-oriented approach
