Location: Whitehaven, Office Based

Hours of work: 36 Hours Per Week

The Role:

We are seeking a motivated and detail oriented Auditor to join an established team in Whitehaven. You will be supporting major national construction projects across the UK. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong analytical and administrative skills who enjoys working with data, identifying discrepancies, and producing accurate reports.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Audit performance and pay levels to ensure uniform application of the Working Rule Agreement pay and conditions throughout the project to achieve a stable industrial relations environment.
  • Identify and discuss any discrepancies found in the reports with contractors and ensure they are followed up and corrected.
  • Interrogate client timesheets on a weekly basis and maintain a database of employees with regards to their working hours, pay grade and trade etc to formulate periodic audit reports.
  • Produce and publish periodic audit reports within the timeframe detailed by the client.
  • Undertake special exercises and examinations on behalf of the client, these can include audit trending, analysis of productive performance-based schemes and ad‑hoc reports.

Experience / Qualifications:

  • Able to prioritise workloads and work independently
  • Strong experience using Excel spreadsheets and databases
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Strong analytical and numeracy skills

Desirable Skills & Experience:

  • Previous audit experience is beneficial but not essential, as full training will be provided.
  • Previous experience of Working Rule Agreements – Such as National Agreements for the Engineering Construction Industry (NAECI), Civil Industry Joint Council (CIJC), plus other WRA's and client specific agreements as required – Training will be required.
