Payroll Officer – City Centre Leicester – Accountancy Practice

Location: Leicester City Centre (hybrid 2 days work from home and flexible working hours)

Salary: £27,500 – £32,500 per annum (depending on experience)

Responsibilities – Payroll Officer

  • Processing end-to-end payroll for multiple clients using Sage and Xero software
  • Ensuring compliance with RTI, auto-enrolment, and pension regulations
  • Handling PAYE, NIC calculations, and year-end reporting
  • Managing client queries and building strong relationships
  • Maintaining accurate payroll records and submitting filings

Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years' payroll experience within an accountancy practice or bureau
  • Strong working knowledge of Sage Payroll; Xero experience is advantageous
  • Excellent understanding of UK payroll legislation
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Ability to manage multiple payrolls and meet deadlines
