YOUTUBE VIDEO EDITOR
London (Office-Based)
Fixed-Term Contract | July – September
We’re looking for a YouTube Editor with strong DaVinci Resolve experience to cut a premium factual entertainment series featuring high-profile talent.
This isn’t traditional broadcast editing. We’re looking for someone who understands modern YouTube storytelling – pacing, momentum, retention and platform-native editing styles that keep audiences engaged without losing editorial quality.
The content combines studio discussion, social media clips, humour, factual storytelling and reaction-driven moments into highly engaging longform episodes built specifically for YouTube audiences.
The Role
You’ll be responsible for editing longform YouTube episodes from rushes through to final delivery.
This includes:
- Editing longform YouTube episodes in DaVinci Resolve
- Building engaging edits that prioritise pacing and audience retention
- Shaping story structure, momentum and visual rhythm
- Integrating graphics, UGC, social content and mixed-media assets
- Collaborating closely with producers and editorial teams
- Supporting cutdowns and additional social edits where needed
- Managing multiple episodes and quick turnaround timelines
We’re Looking For Someone Who:
- Has strong experience editing YouTube-first or digital-native content
- Is highly proficient in DaVinci Resolve
- Understands YouTube visual language and retention editing
- Has excellent storytelling and pacing instincts
- Is confident working with graphics, text and mixed-media workflows
- Has strong comedic timing and reaction-editing instincts
- Works well collaboratively in fast-moving production environments
Ideal Backgrounds Could Include:
- Creator-led YouTube content
- Digital factual entertainment
- Podcasts/vodcasts
- Social-first production companies
- Youth-skewing digital publishers
Working Pattern
