Workshop Engineer
Coffee Machine Repairs & Servicing
We're currently seeking a Workshop Engineer to join a well-established service and repair business operating within the high-end domestic and commercial coffee machine sector. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced engineer or technician with a background in small appliances, electrical repair, or workshop servicing to join a growing and supportive team. Full product training will be provided for the right candidate.
The Role
As a Workshop Engineer, you will be responsible for the repair, servicing, and fault diagnosis of high‑end domestic coffee machines within a busy workshop environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Repairing and servicing domestic coffee machines on a daily basis
- Diagnosing faults and carrying out repairs to a high standard
- Completing all relevant repair documentation and job records accurately
- Processing machines, customer details, and test procedures efficiently
- Working closely with the field‑based service team to ensure timely repairs
- Managing stock usage and maintaining accuracy of parts required
- Supporting ongoing servicing and maintenance of traditional espresso machines
- Following workshop processes and quality standards consistently
Ideal Candidate
- Previous workshop repair experience
- Some electrical testing and repair experience
- Experience working on electrical or electronic consumer products or domestic appliances
- Basic computer skills and confidence using workshop systems
- Good manual dexterity with strong attention to detail
- Good eyesight and hearing
- Excellent time management and self‑motivation
- A positive attitude and willingness to learn
- Strong teamworking skills
- Own transport due to rural location
Hours & Package
Permanent, full‑time position
37.5 hours per week – Monday to Friday: 9:00 am – 5:00 pm with a 30‑minute lunch break
One Saturday per calendar month required (paid at time and a half) and ongoing overtime available (paid at time and a half)
Salary & Benefits
- £25,000 – £28,000 depending on experience
