HEAD OF UNDERWRITING

THE COMPANY

This is an exciting opportunity with a fast-paced financial services business. The role offers the chance to lead an underwriting team and have a real impact in your role to make a difference to company performance.

THE ROLE

• Managing a large team to oversee underwriting decisions and improve the wider decisioning process
• Oversee deal approvals and pricing, as well as work with fraud and financial crime
• Work and communicate closely with senior members and other teams within the business, including Operations and Credit Risk
• Take a crucial role in leadership and development for existing managers in the team, supporting a collaborative culture

YOUR SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

• Essential to have experience managing a credit underwriting function
• Experience managing a large team and developing management abilities in others
• Experience working with Credit Risk to improve operational credit
• Ability to be agile and work in a fast-paced, driven environment

SALARY AND BENEFITS

• Up to £80,000 base salary
• Company bonus scheme
• Health insurance
