HR Business Partner (6-Month FTC)

Location: London (Hybrid – anchor days Tues & Thurs, with flexibility)

Start Date: Mid-April or as soon as possible

Salary: £65,000 pro-rata

Are you a confident, solutions-focused HR Business Partner who thrives in fast-moving, changing environments? We’re seeking a Generalist, HRBP to provide critical support to a global, revenue-generating insurance business during a pivotal period of transition.

In a lean HR structure, this is a hands-on, varied, central role that supports stability across a high-performing, commercially driven client group. You’ll partner closely with senior leaders (c.250 FTE, primarily UK-based with some international reach) to navigate change, drive best practice, and ensure seamless day-to-day HR delivery.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as a trusted HR partner to senior stakeholders within a high-performance, revenue-focused environment.
  • Provide full-spectrum generalist support, from operational HR advisory through to complex employee relations and project work.
  • Manage ER processes, including performance, conduct and capability, ensuring fair and pragmatic outcomes.
  • Support workforce planning, reporting and HR project activity as required.
  • Help the business navigate ongoing organisational change and future ownership transition.

About You

  • Proven HR generalist experience (3–5 years+) with a strong grounding in advisory and partnering.
  • Confident operating independently, with sound judgement to know when to escalate.
  • Commercially aware and pragmatic, able to interpret policy in context and provide workable solutions.
  • Resilient, adaptable, and comfortable in a lean, hands-on environment.
  • Skilled at building trust quickly and maintaining credibility within demanding, revenue-generating teams.
  • Collaborative, down-to-earth, and able to integrate smoothly to provide stability during a time of change.
  • Willing to roll sleeves up, from case management to producing letters, and work closely with centralised HR Ops teams.
