About the Role
We are looking for a dedicated and customer-focused Customer Service Advisor to join our Adult Care Team within the Care & Wellbeing Hub. You will be the first point of contact for individuals, families, and professionals seeking support, advice, or services relating to adult social care and wellbeing.
This is a rewarding role where every call matters, helping people access the right support to live safely and independently.
Key Responsibilities
- Handle incoming telephone calls and emails from the public and professionals
- Gather accurate and relevant information using a strength-based approach
- Assess enquiries and direct or refer them to appropriate servicesProvide clear advice, guidance, and reassurance in sensitive or complex situations
- Record information accurately using IT systems and live data entry (“talk and type”)
- Work closely with social care teams, healthcare professionals, and partner agencies
About You
We are looking for someone who is:
- Confident in delivering excellent customer service in a busy environment
- Able to communicate clearly and professionally, including in sensitive situations
- Comfortable using IT systems and working quickly and accurately
- Able to remain calm under pressure and manage complex enquiries
- A strong team player who is also able to work independently
- Willing to learn and develop new skills (full training provided)
Experience in customer service is essential; experience in social care is desirable but not required.
