Commissioning Engineer (12 month contract)

Qualifications & Experience
- HNC or higher in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent)
- Proven experience commissioning low-voltage equipment in a regulated or high-tech industry
- Strong attention to detail and a quality-focused mindset
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel
Responsibilities
- Testing electrical, electronic, and mechanical components of sub‑assemblies and products
- Performing electrical safety tests and completing online documentation
- Checking calibrated equipment and maintaining accurate records
- Following work instructions and acceptance test documents to meet timelines
- Collaborating with engineering and manufacturing teams to ensure quality and efficiency
Skills / Technical Competencies
- Ability to read mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic drawings
- Knowledge of electrical and mechanical assembly processes
- Familiarity with Lean or Six Sigma principles (advantageous)
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
Nice to Haves
- Experience in a precision assembly environment
- Understanding of continuous improvement methodologies
- Willingness to travel occasionally for work
