THE ROLE

The Handyperson will be responsible for carrying out a wide range of general maintenance and repair tasks, ensuring the site is maintained to a high standard. The role involves fault finding, basic building fabric repairs, and supporting compliance tasks while delivering excellent service to the client.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Carry out general maintenance and repair tasks across site
  • Perform fault finding and basic diagnostics on building issues
  • Complete planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive works
  • Update CAFM systems and complete all required documentation accurately
  • Ensure all works are completed safely, following H&S procedures
  • Maintain plant rooms and work areas in a clean and tidy condition
  • Escort and supervise subcontractors on-site when required
  • Ensure professional communication with clients and stakeholders

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Proven experience in general maintenance or facilities management
  • Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills
  • Basic knowledge of building fabric repairs
  • Full UK Driving Licence
  • Good understanding of health & safety practices
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Good communication and IT skills (CAFM systems)
  • Reliable, flexible, and self-motivated

DESIRABLE

  • Experience within facilities management (5+ years preferred)
  • Legionella awareness
  • Asbestos awareness
  • MEWP Licence
  • First Aid training
  • Experience working in a client-facing environment
