Planning Solicitor (NQ-5) – Edinburgh

A highly regarded Planning & Environment team is seeking a Solicitor (up to 5 years' PQE) to support continued growth in Edinburgh.

This is an opportunity to work on high-quality, often high-profile matters across both contentious and non-contentious planning and environmental law.

The Work

You’ll advise a diverse client base including developers, energy companies and public sector bodies. Work includes:

  • Planning applications, appeals and development strategy
  • Renewable energy and infrastructure projects
  • Residential and commercial development matters
  • Planning disputes and litigation, including judicial review
  • Environmental and regulatory advice

  • Collaborative, inclusive and well-established team environment
  • Exposure to complex, high-value and high-profile work
  • Strong mentoring and structured development
  • Clear and transparent progression opportunities

About You

  • Have up to 5 years’ PQE in planning and/or environmental law
  • Are commercially aware with a pragmatic approach

  • Take pride in delivering high-quality work

Experience across both contentious and non-contentious planning matters is beneficial, but not essential.
