Responsibilities

  • Lead, manage and motivate the team working collaboratively across Adult Learning Centres.
  • Lead and be responsible for delivering a range of initiatives that benefit learners and staff.
  • Identify, deliver and review Adult Learning Centre support services.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with internal teams and external partners to maximise the impact of joint working and actively promote inter‑agency working across Manchester City.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Level 3 Business Administration qualification or willingness to achieve one within 2 years.
  • Evidence of continual professional and management development.
  • Willingness to travel across the city to meet business needs.
  • Experience of managing people effectively.
  • Customer‑focused with a desire to provide services to a high standard.
  • Oversee day‑to‑day running of Adult Learning Centres.
  • Exceptional organisational and time‑management skills and ability to manage multiple tasks while remaining calm and professional in a busy environment.
  • Experience of managing and leading support/administrative services.
  • Demonstrates a positive attitude and excellent customer‑focused service.
  • Effective and clear written and verbal communication skills.
  • Shares MAES objectives.
  • Strong references (3 years' history).
  • Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) clearance (Standard disclosure).
