Job Profile for Quantity Surveyor (Groundworks & RC Frame)
Location: Brighton / Worthing (initially based in Wickham, Southampton)
Salary: Up to £70,000 (dependent on experience)
An established and growing Groundworks & RC Frame contractor is seeking a Quantity Surveyor to join their commercial team. The role will initially be office-based in Wickham, Southampton, before transitioning to a long term site-based projects across Brighton and Worthing.
Working closely with the Managing Quantity Surveyor, the successful candidate will take ownership of day-to-day commercial management across live projects, with exposure to both residential and large RC frame developments.

Key Responsibilities
- Monitoring project costs and maintaining financial control
- Producing CVRs, cost reports, and forecasts
- Preparing and agreeing valuations
- Managing subcontractor procurement, negotiation, and accounts
- Identifying and managing variations and change control
- Liaising with site teams, clients, and consultants
- Supporting tendering and procurement activities where required
Job Requirements
- Experience as a Quantity Surveyor within Groundworks and RC Frame projects
- Ideally 3+ years' experience (all levels considered up to senior)
- Strong knowledge of JCT and/or NEC contracts
- Ability to carry out take-offs independently
- Experience using Bluebeam, SharePoint, or similar systems
- Strong commercial awareness and organisational skills
- Full UK driving licence
