Location: London
We are looking for a Graduate Vertical Transportation (VT) Engineer to join our specialist VT consultancy team in London. In this role you will support the planning, design and delivery of lift and escalator systems on some of the UK’s most complex and high‑profile developments, working alongside experienced VT consultants from concept through to construction and handover.
Responsibilities
- Assist with vertical transportation strategies for new and existing buildings
- Support traffic analysis and performance modelling for lift systems
- Help prepare technical reports, drawings and specifications
- Coordinate with architects, fire engineers and building services teams
- Assess compliance with relevant standards and guidance
- Participate in site inspections, condition surveys and client meetings
- Contribute to refurbishment, modernisation and lifecycle planning studies

Essential Qualifications
- Graduated or working towards a relevant degree in engineering (e.g. Mechanical, Electrical, Building Services)
- Good numerical and analytical skills
- Clear written and verbal communication skills
- Interest in the built environment and complex building systems
Desirable Skills
- Knowledge of lift, escalator or people‑movement systems
- Awareness of UK building regulations or British/European standards
- Interest in accessibility, fire safety or sustainability
- Proficiency in Excel and technical report writing
- Enthusiasm for creativity and a drive to solve problems
- Passion for our Buildings Specialists services and a desire for the future of the built world
