Vacancy at Greater Manchester Mental Health NHS Foundation Trust
We are looking for a psychologist or psychological therapist to join the Greater Manchester Student Mental Health Team.
This is a great opportunity for an experienced therapist who would like to develop their understanding and skills of working with complex and co‑morbid mental health presentations using a trauma‑informed perspective.
Our friendly team already includes a Consultant clinical psychologist lead, two Highly Specialist Clinical Psychologists, a Clinical Psychologist and CBT therapists. We sit within a multi-disciplinary team to provide a needs‑led trauma‑informed service. This includes case managers from Nursing and Social Care backgrounds. We are also supported by a Psychiatry Outpatient team.
Responsibilities
- Provide assessment and formulation of clinical needs.
- Deliver individual and group‑based interventions.
- Provide supervision, CPD and reflective practice to inform a psychological perspective to team working.
- Support the psychology team in building strong and mutually supportive relationships within our University partnership and may provide outreach to one of the University sites.

- Saturday (midnight to midnight) and any weekday after 8 pm and before 6 am: Time plus 47% and 94%.
- All time on Sundays and Public Holidays (midnight to midnight): Time plus 41% and 83%.
- 27 days annual leave plus bank holidays, rising to 29 after 5 years and 33 after 10 years.
