Job Description
We are looking for a Hygiene Operative to provide excellent service standards for the delivery of routine planned and periodic cleaning for a Mitie customer. The role holder will be responsible for meeting all SLA agreements whilst adhering to the cleaning schedules.
Responsibilities
- Carry out general High Risk and Low Risk hygiene tasks including washing equipment, walls, floor & overheads, mopping floors, belt cleaning, and using scrubbing/sweeping equipment.
- Work with the Hygiene Team Leader, use chemicals, and ensure containers are labelled and locked at all times.
- Operate cleaning equipment and complete deep sanitation tasks.
- Manage cleaning schedules, ensure staff follow health & safety procedures, and provide technical training as required.
- Distribute uniforms, monitor cleanliness standards, and order stocks as necessary.
- Deal with any issues efficiently and in a professional manner, referring to the line manager where appropriate.
Qualifications
- Previous supervisory and cleaning experience.
- Good communication skills, reliable, hardworking, and professional attitude.
- Ability to work to a schedule on your own initiative.
- Previous experience as a food manufacturing cleaner is desirable but not compulsory.
- Knowledge of COSHH training and ability to dismantle equipment and machinery.
- IPAF certification desirable but not essential.
