We are excited to offer the role of Associate Director of Structural Design Engineering to join our vibrant and inclusive Building Structures team in Manchester. This role will lead the future of structural design, set industry standards, and deliver high-quality, innovative solutions across sectors such as airports, advanced technology facilities, residential refurbishments, rail, and energy.
Responsibilities
• Lead and inspire a multidisciplinary engineering team, mentoring talented engineers and fostering collaboration and growth.
• Oversee end‑to‑end structural design from concept through completion, ensuring compliance with US codes and international project standards.
• Champion digital delivery and sustainable design principles, integrating multi‑disciplinary processes and advancing modern engineering practices.
• Engage clients to present innovative solutions, driving commercial success by balancing technical excellence with budgetary and schedule constraints.
Qualifications
- Chartered Engineer (IStructE, ICE, or equivalent)
- Proven expertise in structural design from concept to completion
- Strong leadership and mentoring skills
- Ability to engage clients and present innovative solutions
- Experience with structural analysis software (ETABS) and digital delivery
- Knowledge of multi‑disciplinary design processes and sustainable design principles
- Commercial acumen to drive project success
