Senior Social & Engagement Editor

Reporting to the Head of Social Media, you will drive our social presence and engagement tools, such as newsletters and polls, to reach and retain millions of readers. This role shapes the transformation of our video distribution and leads the growth of our emerging social channels.

Responsibilities

  • Play a key role in the ongoing development and execution of the social media and engagement strategy, including the transformation of our video distribution.
  • Attend conference with senior staff to inform priority content.
  • Curate content from across the brand to satisfy a growing range of audience demographics.
  • Edit and maintain social media channels to a high standard in close conjunction with the rest of the team.
  • Manage and distribute a vast range of newsletters every week to loyal subscribers while implementing new growth strategies.
  • Lead the adoption of emerging social platforms and tools to drive brand growth.
  • Collaborate directly with editorial, digital, video, picture, design, commercial, and marketing teams.

Qualifications

  • Extensive knowledge of social media platforms and current affairs.
  • Deep understanding of the value newsletters and engagement tools provide to a digital audience.
  • Ability to remain unflappable under pressure while delivering work at a consistently high standard.
  • Proactive approach with a willingness to take on new tasks and challenges.
  • Strong alignment with the brand and its audience across both print and digital platforms.
  • Highly organised problem-solver capable of overcoming obstacles through creative and adaptive approaches.
