Senior Consultant – Financial Reporting (Workiva)

Location: London (Hybrid)

Team: Consulting

Reports to: Practice Lead

Contract: Full Time

Compensation: Competitive base + performance bonus

About VantagePoint

VantagePoint is a global finance transformation and technology consultancy helping organisations modernise the finance function through process improvement, data, and leading technology platforms.

Founded in London, the firm has grown rapidly from a team of five to 100+ professionals across Europe, North America and APAC.

We specialise in implementing and optimising market-leading finance technologies, supporting organisations through complex transformation programmes and helping finance teams operate with greater control, transparency and insight.

Our model combines deep finance expertise with strong technical delivery – enabling us to deliver practical outcomes and long-term client partnerships.

The opportunity

We’re looking for a delivery‑ready Workiva specialist to join our growing practice.

This is a hands‑on, implementation-focused role for someone who has already led or played a central role in Workiva deployments and can step into delivery with minimal ramp‑up.

You will own end‑to‑end implementations or critical workstreams, working directly with senior finance stakeholders to design, build and deploy reporting solutions.

This is not a learning role – we’re looking for someone who can deliver independently from day one and raise the bar on quality across the practice.

What you’ll be doing

Lead delivery – end-to-end ownership

  • Lead Workiva implementations or major workstreams end-to-end
  • Own delivery across design, build, testing and deployment
  • Act as the primary delivery contact for client stakeholders (Finance, Reporting, Controls)
  • Drive delivery outcomes – on time, on budget, high quality
  • Translate reporting and regulatory requirements into scalable Workiva solutions
  • Configure and build directly within Workiva (reports, data links, controls, workflows)
  • Lead the migration of legacy reporting (Excel / manual packs) into automated solutions
  • Define and implement robust, auditable reporting structures
  • Lead UAT, defect resolution and deployment cycles
  • Own data integration, validation and reconciliation activities
  • Apply best practice in reporting architecture, controls and governance
  • Ensure outputs meet regulatory and audit standards
  • Run workshops, solution walkthroughs and playback sessions
  • Challenge and shape client requirements where needed
  • Act as a trusted advisor on reporting transformation and best practice

Team & practice contribution

  • Provide hands‑on guidance to junior consultants
  • Contribute to Workiva capability build, assets and delivery standards
  • Support pre‑sales and solution shaping where required

What we’re looking for

Experience (must-have)

  • 3–6 years’ experience, with clear exposure to:
  • Workiva implementations (financial reporting, ESG or regulatory reporting)
  • Consulting or implementation‑led environments
  • Proven hands‑on Workiva experience – not just user‑level exposure
  • Experience leading or owning delivery (end-to-end or major workstreams)
  • Background in financial reporting, audit, or finance transformation

Workiva experience is essential for this role

Technical capability

  • Strong understanding of:
  • Financial / statutory / regulatory reporting
  • Reporting processes, controls and governance
  • Advanced Excel skills; exposure to data tools / SQL beneficial
  • Ability to design and build structured, scalable reporting solutions

Consulting & delivery skills

  • Requirements gathering
  • Solution walkthroughs
  • Strong stakeholder management – able to operate with senior finance teams

Attributes

  • Ownership mindset – takes accountability for delivery outcomes
  • High attention to detail and quality
  • Comfortable in a fast‑paced, delivery-focused environment
  • Own delivery from day one – real responsibility, not shadowing
  • Deep Workiva specialisation – build expertise in a high‑growth platform
  • Accelerated progression – path into solution architecture and leadership
  • Direct exposure – work closely with senior clients and leadership

Our values

  • Thrive together – we win as one team
  • Take ownership – accountability for outcomes, not just tasks
  • Quality, every time – consistent, well‑judged delivery
  • Be human, first – trust, empathy and respect
