About the Role

We are looking for a driven and detail‑oriented Assistant Project Manager to support the delivery of Sizewell C, one of the UK’s most significant low‑carbon energy infrastructure projects. The role is ideal for someone with a background in engineering (preferably mechanical or electrical) or experience in large infrastructure projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support planning and execution of activities for principal rotating and electrical generation equipment and supporting systems.
  • Monitor project progress, track actions, and drive resolution of issues through effective coordination and reporting.
  • Align forecasts, costs and schedules to drive efficient project delivery across multiple project phases.
  • Contribute to technical reports and delivery of the final design through to manufacture.
  • Identify and mitigate risks related to delivery of design and manufacture of equipment.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to develop and implement advanced data and documentation management tools.

Candidate Profile

Ideal candidates bring:

  • Degree qualification in engineering, technical or project management related discipline.
  • Evidence of experience in a project management or support role.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Comfortable working within a multidisciplinary team of engineers or managers.
  • Previous experience in high‑safety and quality environments such as Oil & Gas or MoD.

Desirable:

  • Previous engineering or project management experience in the nuclear industry.
  • Formal Project Management qualification (e.g., PMP, APM).

Salary: circa £57,000, dependent on experience.
