£70–100k (3-6 Month FTC with Perm conversion possible)

We’re partnering with a high-growth consumer brand to hire their first AI Automation Lead — a pivotal role focused on scaling the business to £50M+ ARR without proportional headcount growth.

This is a rare opportunity to build an AI-first operating system inside a real, revenue-generating business — not a sandbox.

The Role

You’ll work directly with senior leadership to identify, build, and deploy automation across the business — from supply chain to retail operations.

This is a hands-on builder role with strategic influence.

What you'll be doing

  • Design and implement end-to-end automation workflows across ops, supply chain, and B2B retail
  • Build agent-based systems to replace manual processes
  • Standardise and own the company-wide AI tooling stack
  • Run workshops to identify high-impact use cases across teams
  • Drive adoption and training for non-technical users
  • Continuously improve and maintain workflows (not just ship and leave)

Key Focus Areas

  • B2B retail operations (order management, replenishment, reporting)
  • Supply chain & procurement workflows
  • Forecasting and planning systems
  • Warehouse coordination and assembly processes
  • Internal productivity and automation tooling

What We’re Looking For

  • Proven experience building real automation that replaces human work
  • Strong hands‑on capability with tools like Zapier, Make, APIs, GPT-based systems
  • Operator mindset — you understand how businesses actually run
  • Comfortable working across functions and navigating ambiguity
  • High velocity: you ship quickly and iterate

Nice to Have

  • Background in product, operations, or technical consulting
  • Experience in high-growth startups or scale-ups
  • Exposure to supply chain, logistics, or back‑office systems
  • Experience building interoperable tool ecosystems
