Electrical Maintenance Engineer
Location: New Mills – High Peak
Salary: £43,000 to £47,000 inclusive of call out + Pension + Benefits
Working hours: Double Days – 6‑2 pm / 2‑10 pm Mon‑Thurs / 6‑12 pm / 12‑6 pm Fridays.
13 call outs roughly over the course of the year (1 in 4) on Sat/Sun 6 am‑6 pm (no nights). Get paid for 12 hrs when on call (6 call off a year roughly which is £525 a weekend).

The Role
The ideal candidate will come from a multi‑skilled electrical engineering background and should be able to work on their own initiative, be a time‑served engineer with an electrical bias (but multi‑skilled) and have fast‑moving manufacturing experience. The successful candidate will be responsible for all aspects of day‑to‑day engineering and maintenance activities ensuring work is carried out to the highest standards and maximising machine efficiencies. If you have worked on PLC systems, it would be advantageous.
You will also work on variable speed drives, conveyors, multi‑vac machines, gearboxes, pumps, general mechanical work on pneumatic/hydraulic systems and other manufacturing machinery. There is a huge amount of training on offer so the successful candidate will be in line to broaden their skills considerably.
