The Role

The Warehouse Operations Manager (PM Shift, 12:00-20:00) – 3PL Contract Logistics , will play a critical role in leading all activities across a fast paced operation in Derbyshire, operating within a Multi-User, Open & Closed Book, 250,000+ sq. ft. site.

This position is a truly exciting opportunity for an experienced logistics professional to be at the forefront of a rapidly expanding organisation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Reporting Line: Reporting to the site Assistant General Manager.
  • Operational Leadership: Provide strategic leadership and direction for all operational activities, including warehousing, distribution, strategy, continuous improvement and projects.
  • Team Management: Lead and develop a high-performing, collective site operational team (up to 150+ employees) through managerial direct reports.
  • Client Relationships: Build and maintain an already impressive, strong customer relationship base, ensuring ongoing satisfaction.
  • Performance Metrics: Continue to evolve the organisational approach to KPI's, whilst ensuring existing and new site standardisation.
  • Compliance: Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, safety standards, and industry best practice.
  • Process Optimisation: Continuously evaluate and improve operational processes to enhance efficiency, quality, and cost-effectiveness.

The Candidate

The successful candidate for the Warehouse Operations Manager (PM Shift, 12:00 – 20:00) – 3PL Contract Logistics, opportunity will have the following skills and experiences:

  • A Logistics Distribution and Supply Chain Background – Essential.
  • A minimum of 5+ years Operations Manager / Senior Shift Operations Manager experience – Essential.
  • Proven 3PL Multi-User experience required – Essential.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills, with a track record of developing high-performing teams – Essential.
  • Managed a team over over 100 heads – Essential.
  • An individual truly excited by large scale growth challenges – Essential.
  • Commutable to Derbyshire 5 x days per week – Essential.

The Package

  • Salary – £48,000 to £52,000.
