An exciting new opportunity for an Assistant Estate Manager to join the busy in‑house team on the forward‑thinking Crown Point Estate in Norfolk. This family‑owned, multi‑enterprise, rural estate is ambitious and growth‑focused, committed to long‑term income generation while respecting its surrounding environment and upholding strong traditional values.

The Estate

Owned by the Colman family since 1872, the Estate covers approximately 5,000 acres and is managed in‑house from its Estate and Farm Offices in Kirby Bedon, just south‑east of Norwich. It includes farms, woodlands and a diverse portfolio of residential and commercial properties, and is also home to Whitlingham Country Park, one of the city’s best‑loved nature and leisure spots. Other development and diversification projects also remain a key focus.

The Candidate

The Assistant Estate Manager will support the Estate Director in managing and maintaining the traditional aspects of the Estate as well as applying the strategic vision to identify and deliver on untapped potential, ensuring growth across all parts of the Estate’s businesses.

Key candidate attributes include:

  • Ideally MRICS/FAAV qualified recently or with a few years’ experience in a similar position.
  • A self‑starter and strategic thinker with good knowledge of residential, commercial and agricultural tenancies.
  • A team player, friendly, resourceful, enthusiastic and hands‑on, with excellent interpersonal skills enabling you to build relationships and communicate with a range of people.
  • Able to prioritise jobs and work independently, reliable, diligent with good financial acumen.
  • A keen interest in the rural sector with an appreciation of current and emerging rural issues.
