About the Role

We are looking for a Backend Engineer to join their dynamic and forward-thinking engineering team. In this role, you will design, develop, and optimise backend systems that power a modern cybersecurity platform, working closely with other engineers to ensure scalability, security, and performance.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Designing and implementing robust, scalable, high-performance backend architectures
  • Developing APIs and services to support platform functionality and integrations
  • Writing clean, maintainable, and testable code for web applications
  • Troubleshooting, debugging, and resolving backend issues
  • Collaborating with frontend engineers to integrate user-facing components with server-side logic
  • Gathering and addressing technical and design requirements
  • Optimising system performance and ensuring high availability
  • Building reusable code and libraries for future use
  • Working with engineers, product managers, and stakeholders
  • Keeping up to date with industry trends and best practices

Skills & Experience

  • Strong experience with .NET and C#
  • Experience building APIs and working with microservices architectures (OpenAPI knowledge beneficial)
  • Experience with relational and/or non-relational databases (e.g. SQL or NoSQL)
  • Experience integrating with third-party APIs
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, or GCP
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, evolving environment
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
