nnP4B Law is a well-established boutique law firm based in South Wales and is seeking an Employment Associate to join its highly regarded and experienced team. Working primarily from home with occasional on-site client attendance, you will strengthen our current team of employment lawyers.
nnThis is an excellent opportunity to work closely with experienced employment lawyers on a broad mix of contentious and non-contentious employment matters, within a firm known for its high-quality client base and friendly, collaborative culture.
nnYou will deliver clear, practical advice across the full range of employment issues, manage elements of matters with appropriate supervision, and support senior colleagues on complex cases and advisory work. We are an ‘employer only’ practice, limiting our advice to businesses.
nnYou will advise on day-to-day and strategic matters, including disciplinary and grievance issues, dismissals, redundancy and reorganisation, performance and capability, discrimination and whistleblowing, restrictive covenants, settlement negotiations and agreements, ACAS conciliation, Employment Tribunal claims, and drafting/reviewing workplace contracts and policies.
nnThe role will suit a commercially minded UK-qualified junior employment lawyer with strong technical foundations, excellent communication skills and a practical, solutions-focused approach.
nnThe Employment Associate's role
nnWorking closely with experienced lawyers, you’ll get hands-on exposure to a broad mix of contentious and non-contentious matters, including:

- Advising employers and senior executives on day-to-day employee relations and strategic people issues nt
- Drafting, reviewing and negotiating contracts, policies and settlement agreements nt
- Supporting on Employment Tribunal matters, including pleadings, evidence preparation and hearing support nt
- Delivering pragmatic HR advisory support across a varied and high-calibre client base n
Expect meaningful client contact from day one, with real scope to build your profile and develop your own client relationships as you progress.
nnThe ideal Employment Associate
nn- nt
- UK-qualified junior lawyer with solid employment law experience (contentious and/or advisory) nt
- Training and/or current experience within a law firm or strong in-house team nt
- Strong drafting skills across contracts, policies and settlement agreements nt
- Confident communicator with a practical, client-first mindset nt
- Keen to develop business awareness and contribute to client relationship- building nt
- Proactive, organised and collaborative—someone who enjoys working as part of a close-knit team nt
- Based in South Wales or the South West of England would be desirable but not essential. n
