About You

Do you enjoy juggling different tasks and priorities? Do you have the focus to complete tasks to deadlines, and have an eye for detail? Do you want a job that allows you to work flexibly? If so, read on. We are looking for someone who is organised and loves working with numbers. You will have good communication skills — both written and verbal — and enjoy working closely with other people as part of a busy finance team.

To be successful, you’ll have excellent attention to detail and a good understanding of Microsoft Office products and wider knowledge of ERP systems. We deal with a large volume of sensitive data and information, so sensitive handling and confidentiality are paramount to us. Having an organised and logical approach to work is essential, as these are the qualities that enable us to deliver on our objective of providing the best possible service to both our internal and external stakeholders.

You will need GCSEs at Grade C/4 and above in English and Maths and ideally have had supervisory experience working within Accounts Payable.

About The Role

As a Purchase Ledger Supervisor at the Mining Remediation Authority, you will be part of the Finance team that provides a professional service to all departments. The Finance team plays an important role supporting the organisation to spend wisely and deliver value for money.

Responsibilities
  • Supervise, support and develop the Finance Administrator in their day‑to‑day duties in Accounts Payable processing.
  • Assist with Accounts Payable processing and related finance activities.
  • Participate in a range of ad‑hoc tasks, including assisting in the implementation of the new ERP system.

You will have the opportunity to learn about working in a busy finance team and develop your skills and knowledge. We don’t expect candidates to meet every single desired requirement. If your experience looks different from what we’ve identified and you think you can bring value to the role, we’d love to hear from you.

Qualifications

  • GCSEs at Grade C/4 and above in English and Maths.
  • Ideal supervisory experience within Accounts Payable.
  • Proven attention to detail and strong organisational skills.
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Office and experience with ERP systems.

Benefits

  • A cutting‑edge pension scheme with an employer contribution rate of approximately 28.97 %
  • A values‑based recognition scheme that celebrates your contributions.
  • Flexibility in working patterns, including full‑time, part‑time, or compressed hours.
  • Flexible working arrangements tailored to your needs.
  • A generous holiday allowance of 27.5 days annually, plus flexibility to add 6 extra days and 8 public holidays.
  • A comprehensive parental leave policy with 26 weeks of full pay (subject to eligibility).
  • Support to further your professional qualifications and payment for one annual professional subscription.
  • Access to a free, confidential Employee Assistance Programme.
  • Exclusive employee discounts.
  • An annual health check and £15 monthly towards well‑being activities.
  • On‑site free parking, complimentary tea, coffee, and soft drinks.
