Multi‑Skilled Engineer
We’re looking for a Multi‑Skilled Engineer to provide high‑quality engineering support, focusing on equipment reliability, continuous improvement, and minimising downtime across site operations.
This is a hands‑on role for someone who enjoys problem‑solving, working across departments, and keeping production running safely and efficiently.
What You’ll Do
- Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPMs) and reactive repairs
- Diagnose and repair electrical and mechanical faults quickly and safely
- Support production teams to improve efficiency and reduce downtime
- Accurately record work, downtime and root cause analysis within CMMS
- Identify and implement engineering and process improvements
- Maintain hygiene, health & safety and housekeeping standards
- Support site and group engineering projects
- Act as a role model, supporting apprentices and developing best practice
What You’ll Bring
- City & Guilds Level 3 (or equivalent) in Engineering
- Strong electrical and mechanical fault‑finding skills
- Knowledge of pneumatics, hydraulics and engineering systems
- Experience in FMCG or manufacturing (desirable)
- A proactive, ‘can‑do’ attitude with strong problem‑solving skills
- Ability to work independently, safely and as part of a team
