Internal Sales/Business Development Executive

Salary up to £32k plus bonus/benefits
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a commercially driven Internal Sales / Business Development Executive to join a well-established and growing international manufacturing business based in Wollaston.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys building relationships, developing new business opportunities, and working closely with customers in a fast‑paced technical or manufacturing environment. You'll play a key role in supporting sales growth, managing customer accounts, and identifying opportunities to strengthen existing and new client relationships.
Working as part of a collaborative and supportive team, you'll have the opportunity to make a real impact within a successful business that supplies specialist products to customers across multiple sectors.
The Role
- Manage and develop existing customer accounts
- Identify and generate new business opportunities
- Build strong relationships with customers and key stakeholders
- Prepare quotations and follow up on enquiries
- Support the external sales function and wider commercial team
- Maintain accurate CRM and sales records
- Liaise with internal departments including production, operations, and customer service
- Monitor customer requirements and provide proactive solutions
- Support commercial growth initiatives and account development strategies
What We're Looking For
- Previous experience within internal sales, business development, account management, or customer‑focused commercial roles
- Strong communication and relationship‑building skills
- Confident handling customer enquiries and commercial discussions
- Proactive and target‑driven mindset
- Organised with strong attention to detail
- Comfortable working within a fast‑paced manufacturing, engineering, or technical environment
- Good IT skills including Microsoft Office and CRM systems (Salesforce or similar)
- Ability to work independently while contributing to a team environment
