As our Senior Construction Cost Manager EMEA, you will lead the development and governance of our end‑to‑end construction cost control frameworks across the region. You will define how we plan, track, and forecast budgets, commitments, and expenditures, ensuring full cost transparency and strong financial control throughout the project life cycle.
In this role, you will set the standards that enable competitive project delivery, create meaningful benchmarks, and support confident decision‑making at scale. You will provide cost leadership across all NTT GCDA data center projects in EMEA, playing a pivotal role in safeguarding project outcomes and enabling future growth.
What we are looking for
- Several years of experience in construction cost management, including responsibilities such as pre‑construction planning, cost management strategies, cost coding structures, commitments, spend and forecast processes, and reviewing contractor cost proposals on major engineering or construction projects
- Hands‑on experience with construction cost accounting and financial management software
- A strong understanding of the full construction life cycle, from early pre‑design through construction and close‑out
- Proven experience designing, implementing, and managing robust cost control systems on large‑scale, complex construction projects
- Exceptional analytical and problem‑solving skills, going well beyond traditional estimating practices
- Confidence in leading and structuring meetings to establish and maintain strong project control processes
- A high level of professional integrity and confidentiality
- Strong proficiency across Microsoft tools, including Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and particularly advanced Excel for analysing large and complex data sets
- A collaborative team player who builds trust across diverse stakeholder groups
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Construction Management, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant professional experience
What You Will Do
- Design, implement, and continuously evolve end‑to‑end construction cost control systems to ensure consistent, reliable, and accurate visibility of project financial performance
- Lead early‑stage project budgeting, develop comprehensive cost programs, establish reporting structures, and deliver robust forecasting models across the full project life cycle
- Transform complex financial and project data into clear, actionable insights using advanced Excel and Microsoft tools
- Deliver executive‑level and management‑level reporting, providing transparent and timely views of budgets, commitments, spend, and forecast positions
- Own and manage the cost coding structures, ensuring seamless integration between construction teams and financial systems
- Define, implement, and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure project health, identify trends, and surface potential risks early
- Partner closely with Design, Engineering, Project Management, and Finance to align cost planning and maintain financial control throughout the project life cycle
- Collaborate with our suppliers and contractors to ensure accurate and consistent financial reporting, including commitments, spend, and forecasts
- Develop and maintain internal and external benchmarking programs to support data‑driven decision‑making and continuous improvement
- Proactively manage project budgets and change impacts, from pre‑design through delivery, ensuring alignment with business objectives
- Identify financial risks and opportunities, assess their potential impact, and ensure they are appropriately reflected in forecasts
- Manage detailed project cost reports and provide regular updates on financial position in line with company governance requirements
- Own the forecasting and cash‑flow analysis process, supporting short‑ and long‑term financial planning
- Review and validate supplier invoices, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and correct payment execution
- Ensure disciplined change management across projects, performing cost analysis and supporting audits when variances or issues arise
