Job Title: Claims Auditor – Household

Location: Leicester, London, or Bexhill (hybrid)

Role Overview

As a Claims Auditor, you will work with stakeholders to deliver effective audits and reporting, focusing on robust, risk‑based audits across household claims. This will ensure customer outcomes are fair, responsibilities are aligned and regulatory and best‑practice procedures are adhered to, while managing leakage and financial risk.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop a comprehensive understanding of internal claims processes, new initiatives, best practices and the impact of inefficient processes on customer service, leakage and fraud.
  • Carry out robust, risk‑based audits across household claims (within Insurer Services).
  • Deliver balanced, accurate and evidenced feedback to leadership and teams, highlighting strengths and areas for development, and providing solutions where appropriate.
  • Identify areas for indemnity savings and take appropriate actions to deliver financial benefits in line with business objectives.
  • Manage root‑cause analysis for all complaints, including FOS, and recommend improvements that support the goal of reducing justified complaints, increasing renewal retention and complying with FCA regulatory requirements.
  • Review the quality of work undertaken by yourself and colleagues to ensure audit objectives have been met and that the data provided is of high integrity.

Essential Skills & Experience

  • Strong audit experience in a regulated environment (e.g., insurance, financial services, energy).
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret management information and identify areas of risk and opportunity.
  • Confidence communicating and providing feedback to stakeholders and teams at all levels.
  • Specific household/home/motor audit experience is beneficial but not essential for this role.
