Background

The Investment Management Controls team operates within the first line of defence, working closely with investment and other operational teams to maintain a robust control environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with the Investment Management RCSA refresh process.
• Carry out control testing and first‑line assurance tasks.
• Liaise with investment desks on day‑to‑day control issues.
• Assist with creation of monthly management MI and reporting for Senior Management Forums.
• Work with second‑line functions such as Compliance and Enterprise Risk to address queries and incidents.
• Review Policy & Procedure documents as part of annual refresh cycles.
• Monitor investment portfolios for ESG attributes.

Desired Skills & Experience

• 2–4 years relevant experience within an asset‑management, consulting or banking environment.
• Experience in carrying out control testing and assurance work.
• Understanding of RCSA processes.
• Some knowledge of regulation pertaining to Investment Management.
• Experience with Aladdin desirable.
• Confident communicator who can quickly build relationships with stakeholders.
• A curious nature and ability to think pragmatically to solve often complex problems.
