The Role
- Lead and manage day to day melting and production operations
- Drive safety, quality, productivity, and manufacturing performance
- Manage, motivate, and develop production teams
- Ensure production targets and operational KPIs are achieved
- Support continuous improvement and efficiency initiatives across the department
- Work closely with production, engineering, quality, and planning teams
- Support production scheduling, workflow, and operational planning
- Ensure compliance with health & safety and manufacturing standards
- Manage staffing, training, performance, and team development
- Maintain high standards of housekeeping and operational discipline across the department
What We're Looking For
- Previous management experience within manufacturing, heavy engineering, or industrial production
- Strong leadership and people management skills
- Experience working within fast-paced manufacturing environments
- Good understanding of production, operational, and quality processes
- Strong communication and problem solving ability
- Organised, proactive, and able to manage multiple priorities
- Hands on approach with a strong operational mindset
Desirable Skills
- Engineering or manufacturing qualification
- Continuous improvement or lean manufacturing experience
- Experience managing teams within heavy industrial or metallurgical environments
