An established and growing building controls specialist is looking to appoint an experienced Senior BMS Commissioning Engineer to support a strong pipeline of projects across London and the Southeast.

This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled engineer with hands-on commissioning experience across Trend, Tridium, Schneider or Siemens systems to join a highly regarded business delivering large-scale commercial and mixed-use projects.

Working closely with Project Managers and the wider commissioning team, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality BMS solutions from commissioning through to final handover.

The Role

As a Senior BMS Commissioning Engineer, you will be responsible for:

  • Commissioning BMS systems across commercial and mixed-use projects
  • Carrying out testing, validation and functional performance checks
  • Ensuring systems are operating in line with project specifications and client requirements
  • Configuring, programming and testing Trend, Tridium, Schneider or Siemens systems
  • Diagnosing and resolving commissioning issues efficiently on site
  • Leading commissioning activities across multiple projects
  • Supporting and mentoring junior commissioning engineers where required
  • Supporting installation teams and subcontractors with technical guidance
  • Ensuring seamless integration between BMS and wider building services
  • Producing commissioning documentation, reports and test records
  • Providing regular project updates to management teams
  • Ensuring all commissioning activities comply with industry standards and safety regulations

Candidate Requirements

The successful candidate will have:

  • Proven experience commissioning Building Management Systems
  • Strong knowledge of Trend, Tridium, Schneider or Siemens systems
  • Previous experience working within commercial BMS environments
  • Excellent fault-finding and problem-solving abilities
  • Strong communication and organisational skills
  • Ability to work independently and take ownership of commissioning activities on site
  • Experience managing commissioning phases on medium to large-scale projects
  • Good understanding of commissioning software and tools

Certifications Required

  • Certification in Trend, Tridium, Delta or Schneider systems
  • BCIA 01, 02 & 03 minimum
  • Electrical safety awareness training

Additional manufacturer certifications would be advantageous.
