Description: Full Time / 37 Hours Per Week / Permanent. Join us in achieving our goal of providing well maintained, compliant buildings. With a strong background in construction and/or maintenance of Commercial Mechanical heating, ventilation and BMS Systems, you’ll play a key role in managing the delivery of projects, primarily within commercial properties. Our Estates and Building Service are a professional, multi-disciplinary team, offering a varied workload and an array of opportunities. We have a large and diverse portfolio of property including listed buildings & scheduled monuments, educational buildings, and leisure facilities, to name a few.

Responsibilities

  • Provide specialist advice & support across the property portfolio, specifying or coordinating the design of mechanical and Gas systems including maintenance and testing requirements.
  • Manage the delivery of a variety of projects with a bias towards mechanical and Gas systems, whilst working within agreed budgets and timescales.
  • Engage with stakeholders including internal colleagues, clients, contractors as well as regulatory bodies with strong people skills.
  • Identify opportunities for modern technology solutions to reduce the carbon footprint of the estate and help address the climate emergency.
  • Use analytical skills and detailed technical knowledge of building systems compliance to review costings and deliver best practice.

Qualifications

  • Hold relevant Gas qualifications and the MIWFM or demonstrate extensive experience and qualifications within a discipline relevant to the role.
  • Essential: full UK driving licence and ability to travel frequently between locations.

Location, hours and travel

Full-time, permanent post working 37 hours per week from Monday to Friday. Based at City Hall, with the flexibility to work from home or on-site and travel to construction locations in and around Leicester. Hybrid working – Home and Leicester City Offices.

Salary and package

Salary: GBP 42,839 – GBP 46,142 per year

Package: Total benefit value (includes pension contribution and full holiday entitlement): GBP 62,918

Contractual hours: 37
