Salary: £48,000 – £52,000 + Shift Allowance + Benefits

The Opportunity

An established and expanding beverage manufacturing operation is seeking an experienced multi-skilled maintenance engineer to join their team in a senior capacity. With recent investment in cutting-edge production equipment, they are looking for a professional who can bring leadership, technical excellence, and industry best practice to the shift engineering function.

The Role

As a Senior Multi-Skilled Shift Maintenance Engineer, you will lead engineering activities on shift, mentor less experienced colleagues, and ensure high standards of equipment reliability. You will bring ideas from blue-chip, best-in-class manufacturing environments, helping to embed lean and continuous improvement methodologies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead shift maintenance activities, delivering both PPM and rapid breakdown response.
  • Provide advanced fault diagnosis and repair on mechanical, electrical, and automated systems.
  • Mentor and develop junior engineers, sharing technical knowledge.
  • Implement lean principles, TPM, and other continuous improvement techniques.
  • Work with management on CAPEX and plant upgrade projects
  • Two shift system rotating – Monday to Friday only.

About You

  • Time-served engineer with significant FMCG or high-speed manufacturing experience.
  • Strong electrical and mechanical skills, with PLC fault-finding expertise (Siemens/Allen-Bradley).
  • Proven record of applying lean or TPM methodologies to improve performance.
  • Experience mentoring and leading engineering colleagues.
  • Proactive, solutions-focused, and safety-conscious.
