Our company, the Information Intelligence Group (IIG) of CACI UK, is a specialist technical consultancy providing bespoke solutions to solve customers' complex operational problems. As we grow, we seek an experienced Senior Test Engineer to join our Identity E2E business.
Role Overview
As a Senior Test Automation Engineer you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality, reliability and scalability of our software products. You will work closely with developers, product managers and other stakeholders to design, develop and implement automated testing solutions in a fast‑paced, agile environment. The role can be based from any of our six UK offices (including Bristol, Cheltenham and London) or from home, but will require weekly visits to London‑based customers. Responsibilities include:
- Leading the design and implementation of automation test strategies to support CI/CD pipelines.
- Collaborating with cross‑functional teams to understand requirements, define test plans and build effective test automation solutions.
- Developing and maintaining automated test suites for functional, regression, performance and security testing.
- Analyzing test results, identifying issues and providing actionable insights to improve product quality.
- Enforcing best practices in test automation, TDD and BDD.
- Ensuring high test coverage and performance efficiency across multiple platforms and environments.
- Participating in code reviews, pair programming and contributing to overall code quality.
- Mentoring junior SDETs and QA engineers on best practices in test automation, TDD and BDD.
Qualifications
- Experienced Test Engineer with a passion for automation testing, proficient in Selenium, Java and AWS.
- Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins.
- Proficient in API testing tools such as Postman, RestAssured or similar.
- Strong knowledge of software testing methodologies, including TDD, BDD and continuous testing.
Due to the nature of the sector, the role prefers applicants who hold a high level security clearance. To qualify, you must be a British passport holder and have lived permanently in the UK for the last five years.
