Overview
You will join the Product Platform Design (PPD) team, a dynamic group responsible for designing, building, and evolving S&P Dow Jones Indices' core product platforms. Our platforms drive index creation, calculation, rebalancing, analytics, and distribution. We operate on a product‑led, service‑based delivery model, organized into value streams that align with major business domains. You will collaborate closely with Index Management, R&D, Operations, and Technology teams to deliver scalable, reusable data services.
Impact
As a Technical Product Owner for Fixed Income Data, you will play a pivotal role in shaping our product direction and ensuring the operational robustness of our data platforms. You will act as a trusted advisor on complex data issues, using your analytical perspective to weave new approaches and innovative ideas into our processes. By bridging the gap between business and technology, you will deliver solutions that balance specific asset‑class needs with the integrity of our shared data platform.
Responsibilities

- Translate complex business requirements into clear, actionable epics, features, and user stories.
- Own and manage the team backlog in Azure DevOps (ADO), ensuring alignment with broader business goals, platform standards, and the priorities of others.
- Act as a translator between business and technology, integrating and communicating complex technical information clearly to diverse audiences.
- Navigate incomplete or conflicting data to identify viable options and make pragmatic decisions in non‑routine situations.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams (Index Management, R&D, Technology, Operations) and other Product Owners to manage cross‑platform dependencies and sequencing.
- Advocate for high data quality, timeliness, and operational robustness, ensuring asset‑specific requirements translate into reusable data services rather than bespoke silos.
- Define acceptance criteria, perform user acceptance testing (UAT), and actively support agile ceremonies.
- Proactively seek out new opportunities for innovation, leveraging the wider team and effective time management to ensure high‑quality delivery on deadlines.
- All employees are required to work from the office a minimum of 2 days per week.
Qualifications
Required
- 7+ years of experience in Product Owner, Business Analyst, or hybrid PO/BA roles in an agile environment, typically at this level.

- Proven ability to engage in technical discussions, simplify complexity, and communicate effectively with both engineering teams and business stakeholders.
- Proficiency in managing product backlogs and agile workflows using tools such as Azure DevOps (ADO) or Jira.
- Strong emotional intelligence with the ability to bounce back from setbacks, remain positive, and stay focused even in the face of challenges.
Preferred
