Site Engineer – HV Transmissions Project, Plymouth
Role: Site engineer for large HV Transmissions project, Navenby, enabling connections to the Springwell Solar Farm and Battery Storage projects. Responsibilities include managing site works/subcontractors, ensuring surveys/records, coordinating with project managers and suppliers, recording activities, reviewing drawings, and delivering safe compliance.
Responsibilities
- Managing a package of site works / subcontractors
- Ensuring site surveys and records are provided as required
- Coordinating with project managers, site managers, supervisors, and suppliers to develop and review safe system compliance and daily processes
- Recording all on-site activities via daily diaries, production control schedules, and photographs
- Reviewing drawings and raising technical queries to the design team
Qualifications
- HV Transmissions experience
- Understanding of engineering principles
- Technical knowledge of construction techniques and best practices
- Some civil / MEICA construction experience
- Design Management experience
- Relevant CSCS Card
- Full Clean Driver’s Licence
- Civil Engineering qualification (HNC, HND, BSc, MSc, BEng, Meng)
- Site Supervisor Safety Training Scheme – SSSTS (CITB)
- Safety Passport CCNSG
- SHEA Power
- Persons Substation (NG)
- First Aid
- Manual Handling / Moving & Handling Principles
- HSG47 / CAT & Genny
- Temporary Works Supervisor (CITB)
