Overview

LHH are exclusively partnering with a leading global business to find a Financial Controller. This is a pivotal leadership role responsible for overseeing financial operations, ensuring robust controls, and driving strategic decision-making across the organisation.

The business is on a rapid growth trajectory, driven by acquisitions. Alongside other Senior Finance stakeholders you would be instrumental in assisting in M&A activities across the Group.

A passion for driving continuous improvement and change by utilising automation is key. As is a desire to be involved in various global projects across the organisation.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, including P&L, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow reporting
  • Maintain and implement strong internal controls and financial policies, including payroll support
  • Ensure full compliance with HMRC regulations and manage tax and VAT submissions
  • Liaise with external auditors and lead statutory reporting processes
  • Manage budgeting and forecasting to support financial planning
  • Provide accurate and timely cash flow forecasting
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing accounting team
  • Drive business improvement initiatives and ERP process optimisation

Qualifications

  • ACA, ACCA, or CIMA qualified
  • Strong technical IFRS knowledge and a proven track record in UK statutory accounting
  • Experience in a large global multi-site organisation
  • Prior exposure to M&A activities would be highly desirable
  • Experience of leading on Audits and acting as key liaison with the external auditors
  • Strong communication skills across Finance and senior leadership
  • Advanced Excel and ERP optimisation skills
  • Ambition to build a best-in-class finance function
