Financial Controller – Street Group
Location: Manchester (Hybrid, up to 2 days WFH). Salary: £75,000 – £80,000.

As the Financial Controller you are the guardian of the “Source of Truth.” You will ensure our financial engine runs smoothly, delivering a timely, efficient and accurate month‑end close. Your work provides the foundation for our historical financials and SaaS metrics that feed into forecasting and support key strategic decisions.
You bridge the gap between rigorous technical accounting and the high‑speed demands of a scaling tech business, working closely with FP&A and the wider business to drive operational excellence. This is a growth hire, driven by rapid scaling.
A Bit About You
- Fully qualified (ACA, ACCA or CIMA) with strong post‑qualified experience.
- Proven experience operating as a Financial Controller or Senior Finance Manager within a scaling, high‑growth environment.
- Strong technical grounding, with clear SaaS/software revenue recognition experience and a deep understanding of financial controls.
- Systems‑first mindset – you instinctively improve processes, leverage automation and enhance reporting accuracy.
- Confident communicator with gravitas, comfortable challenging stakeholders and translating financial data into commercial insight.
- Meticulous, disciplined and commercially aware, with the drive to build a finance function that supports rapid and sustainable growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead a high‑quality, efficient month‑end close and deliver board‑ready reporting with robust reconciliations and clear audit trails.
- Strengthen financial controls, systems and automation to build a scalable, investor‑ready finance function.
- Act as the lead for audit, year‑end accounts, VAT, payroll and broader tax compliance.
- Partner cross‑functionally to translate financial performance into commercial insight, confidently challenging on accounting treatment where needed.
- Lead and develop the finance team, raise standards, improve processes and embed a systems‑first, high‑performance culture as we scale.
