Junior LEDS (ST1/2 level) – Obstetrics & Gynaecology

Managed Clinical Service, St. Mary’s Hospital, Oxford Road Campus, Wythenshawe Hospital and North Manchester General Hospital.

One twelve‑month fixed‑term role. The base site is fixed; cross‑site coverage is expected only for specific areas, for example covering the Emergency Gynae Unit at Wythenshawe Hospital while the base site is Oxford Road Campus.

Responsibilities

  • Provide a clinical service in general obstetrics and gynaecology at a level expected of an ST1/2 trainee.
  • Work closely with consultants and the multidisciplinary team.
  • Be accountable to the Lead Clinician.
  • Gain training and experience while working in a busy tertiary referral centre or district general hospital.

Qualifications and Conditions

  • Applicants may be non‑GMC registered at the point of application and will be considered under the Trust’s International Fellowship Scheme (an £500 administrative charge applies).
  • Successful applicants will work at one of the listed sites and may cover additional sites as outlined.
