The Role

  • Ensure high availability of production machinery and facilities through preventative maintenance and timely repairs
  • Maintain machinery in line with TPM schedules and keep equipment in orderly condition
  • Carry out first‑line fixes to minimise production downtime
  • Analyse machine downtime / OEE data to improve performance and uptime
  • Minimise maintenance costs while maintaining quality standards
  • Support continuous improvement of machinery, production processes, and company procedures
  • Participate in project‑related activities and improvements
  • Provide technical support and advice when required
  • Organise and manage spare parts stock efficiently
  • Support building services and site maintenance activities
  • Mentor and support apprentices
  • Adhere to all company policies, including health & safety, quality, and environmental standards

The Person

  • HNC (or equivalent) in Electrical, Electronics, or Mechanical Engineering
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in a similar maintenance role
  • 18th Edition electrical wiring qualification (advantageous)
  • Strong fault‑finding skills (S5/S7 desirable)
  • Experience with PLC automation, safety systems, and control panels
  • Knowledge of electro‑pneumatics, hydraulics, machining, and machine technology
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Comfortable working under pressure in a fast‑paced production environment

Nightshift Hours

  • Sunday – 20:50 pm – 06:00 am
  • Mon to Thurs – 22:30 pm – 06:00 am

Location

Located in West Midlands; commutable from Coventry, Birmingham, Nuneaton, Tamworth and other surrounding areas.
