Francesca's Recruitment Ltd is urgently seeking an experienced Senior Structural Engineer to join a respected and expanding engineering consultancy based in Chesterfield. This is an excellent opportunity for a technically strong engineer who thrives in a fast‑paced environment and enjoys delivering high‑quality structural solutions across multiple residential projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead structural design work across residential developments
  • Produce safe, compliant and cost‑effective engineering solutions
  • Review drawings, calculations and technical documentation
  • Collaborate closely with Clients, Developers and internal teams
  • Support, guide and mentor junior engineers
  • Manage workloads effectively to meet project deadlines

Essential Requirements

  • Minimum 3 years' UK structural engineering experience
  • Strong background in the residential sector
  • Master's degree in Structural Engineering (Chartered or working toward ICE/IStructE)
  • Excellent knowledge of Eurocodes, British Standards and Building Regulations
  • Proven experience designing in RC, steel, timber and masonry
  • Understanding of geotechnical principles and foundation design
  • Competent in AutoCAD 2D, with experience using Tekla Tedds and Masterseries
  • Strong communication skills and exceptional attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently and within a small team
  • Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle
  • Right to work in the UK
