Francesca's Recruitment Ltd is urgently seeking an experienced Senior Structural Engineer to join a respected and expanding engineering consultancy based in Chesterfield. This is an excellent opportunity for a technically strong engineer who thrives in a fast‑paced environment and enjoys delivering high‑quality structural solutions across multiple residential projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead structural design work across residential developments
- Produce safe, compliant and cost‑effective engineering solutions
- Review drawings, calculations and technical documentation
- Collaborate closely with Clients, Developers and internal teams
- Support, guide and mentor junior engineers
- Manage workloads effectively to meet project deadlines
Essential Requirements
- Minimum 3 years' UK structural engineering experience
- Strong background in the residential sector
- Master's degree in Structural Engineering (Chartered or working toward ICE/IStructE)
- Excellent knowledge of Eurocodes, British Standards and Building Regulations
- Proven experience designing in RC, steel, timber and masonry
- Understanding of geotechnical principles and foundation design
- Competent in AutoCAD 2D, with experience using Tekla Tedds and Masterseries
- Strong communication skills and exceptional attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and within a small team
- Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle
- Right to work in the UK
