Senior Clinical Fellow – Urology
Two full‑time fixed‑term positions for 12 months are available at The Leeds Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust. One post will be in the Endourology team and the other in Female Functional Reconstruction.
Requirements
- Fully registered with the General Medical Council.
- Hold MRCS at the time of application.
- Preferably hold FRCS(Urol) or equivalent.
- Eligible to pursue sub‑specialty post‑CCT level training in Endourology.
Responsibilities
- Support general and specialist outpatient clinics, theatre sessions, and day‑case surgery in line with gained competencies.
- Follow patients throughout their clinical pathways.
- Deliver clinical and quality targets agreed nationally and locally.
- Contribute to weekly departmental and specialist multidisciplinary meetings, x‑ray meetings and monthly audit meetings.
- Participate in ongoing clinical trials to facilitate collection and analysis of clinical data.
- Teach medical students and supervise junior staff.
- Attend occasional emergencies and unforeseen circumstances as required.
- Participate in the 1 in 9 hybrid rota with prospective cover.
- Provide ward care, outpatient clinics, day‑case surgery, day‑case endoscopy, and elective surgery.
- Deliver high‑quality care and meet access targets for the organisation.
Training and Development
- Opportunity to pursue sub‑specialty post‑CCT level training in Endourology.
- Access to regular radiology and uropathology meetings.
- One half‑day per week of postgraduate education.
- Encouraged to conduct research and produce a publication during tenure.
