We are recruitting for a experienced Senior CCTV & Security engineer to join an industry leading business.

The Role

  • Liaise with sales for all order requisitions on CRM / Asset platform.
  • Site Assessment / Surveys: Conducting pre-installation site visits to verify power, access, and safety requirements to ensure a "Lean process".
  • Bench testing rental equipment ahead of installation.
  • Oversees the condition and availability of assets and materials, liaising with procurement to ensure effective stock management.
  • Install and commission security systems including CCTV, video surveillance towers, access control, intrusion alarms, motion sensors, wireless devices and associated hardware in Construction, Commercial and specialised Power & Energy sites.
  • Work from design specifications and site surveys to deploy equipment accurately.
  • Coordinate with project teams and other contractors on site to meet programme deadlines.
  • Equipment Commissioning: ensuring they are fully operational and meet "Standards".
  • Liaising with ARC
  • Client Handover: Providing basic "Standards & Training" to the site contact on how to operate the equipment safely.
  • Sign-off Documentation: Capturing "Consent quality" through digital or paper sign-off forms to trigger the billing cycle.

Site Visits & Field Maintenance

  • Routine PPV Site Services: Executing a recording "Testing schedule" for various systems.
  • On-site Repairs: Diagnosing and fixing issues in the field to maintain "Delivery" standards and avoid equipment returns.
  • Safety Compliance: Ensuring all on-site assets remain compliant with "Defined processes" and safety regulations.

Technical Qualifications and Certifications

  • Core Qualification: NVQ Level 3 in Electronic Security and Emergency Systems (FESS) or equivalent.
  • Regulatory Knowledge: Deep understanding of IET Wiring Regulations (BS 7671).
  • Site Safety: Valid ECS or CSCS Card for site access.
  • Driving: Full UK Driving Licence with a clean record.

Desirable

  • Specialised Safety: IPAF and PASMA certifications for working at height.
  • Electrical Experience or NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation.
  • Full UK driving licence with towing entitlement (B+E or post-1997 equivalent).

Experience and Knowledge

  • Industry Tenure: Experience in the installation and maintenance of electronic security systems.
  • System Expertise: Demonstrable experience with brand‑specific hardware:
    • CCTV: Hikvision, Dahua, Axis.
    • Wireless: Ajax, Reconeyez, PODs, CCTV towers.
    • Access Control: Paxton Net2, HikVision.
  • Networking Skills: Proficiency in IP networking, including router configuration, subnetting, and wireless bridges.

Remuneration & Benefits

Salary up to £44,000.

Vehicle: Modern company van (available for private use), company mobile phone, and high‑specification tools.

Working hours: 7:00 – 4:30.
