Our client, an independent veterinary practice with two sites in East Yorkshire, is offering an exciting opportunity for a Small Animal Veterinary Surgeon. This RCVS‑accredited practice dates back to the 1940s and now employs 16 veterinary surgeons, providing comprehensive 24‑hour call‑out services for pets, farm animals, and horses. The practice boasts state‑of‑the‑art facilities including an in‑house laboratory, ultrasound, X‑ray, endoscope, CT scanner, a heated dog hydrotherapy pool, and an underwater treadmill for low‑impact exercise.
About the Team
You will work alongside an experienced team that includes certificate holders in various disciplines, a skilled nursing team, and an exceptional client care support team. The practice values a family‑oriented work environment and prioritises work‑life balance.
Role Highlights
- Full‑time role with a 100% small‑animal focus; mixed veterinary surgeons with beef and sheep expertise may also be considered.
- Convenient 4‑day working week with a fixed day off and a well‑structured on‑call rota (1:5 Saturday mornings; 1:5 weekends on‑call with toil).
- Flexible schedule for the right candidate.
- Support and funding for certificate holders and candidates working toward certification.
- Salary up to £55,000, dependent on experience.
Qualifications
- Licensed Veterinary Surgeon, RCVS accredited.
- Experience in small animal surgery preferred.
- Experience with on‑call duties preferred.
